things never go the way i want them to be

In this drama that I watched some ages ago;
the man and woman are in love with each other but because of the man's secret identity, his life is always on the line. In order to protect the woman he loves, he must leave, make her forget him and hoping she would find a much better man. They have to go back to being strangers. They both didn't one to, both putting on an act. Through much struggling, the woman, crying, finally told him:"you're so cruel. you made me fall helplessly in love you, you told me to have faith in this love because you'll do whatever it takes to protect me. now you want me to leave, even telling me to find a better man after all that i've been through with you? i'll wait for you till everything is over. can you come back to me when you're done with what you need to do?" of course, being a drama, the ending was happy.
but for me, it won't end like the drama even if i wished for it.
